Kiwilife currently has more than 300 producers, located from the North of Portugal to Bairrada, with some producers from Spain as well.
90% of the fruit we sell is from Portuguese producers.
Kiwi Cultivation
Our production is concentrated in the Iberian Peninsula, with the best natural conditions for growing kiwis:
- Mild winter, guarantee of uniformity of production;
- Mild temperatures in spring and summer guarantee adequate development of the crop, with few pests and diseases;
- Good level of natural light that facilitates the accumulation of sugars in the fruit;
- Acidic soils that give the characteristic flavor of kiwis in this area;
- Absence of frost at the time of harvest, ensuring that the fruit is harvested at the optimum level of ripeness.
